About GLP-1 medications

GLP-1 and GIP/GLP-1 receptor agonists are FDA-approved for chronic weight management and type 2 diabetes in adults who meet clinical criteria. They work by mimicking hormones your body already produces to regulate appetite and blood sugar.

Sinad Labs clinicians can evaluate and prescribe the following branded, FDA-approved medications when clinically appropriate:

  • Wegovy (semaglutide) — FDA-approved for chronic weight management.
  • Zepbound (tirzepatide) — FDA-approved for chronic weight management.
  • Ozempic (semaglutide) — FDA-approved for type 2 diabetes; off-label use for weight management.
  • Mounjaro (tirzepatide) — FDA-approved for type 2 diabetes; off-label use for weight management.
  • Saxenda (liraglutide) — FDA-approved for chronic weight management.

Like all medications, GLP-1s have side effects and aren't appropriate for everyone. Your clinician will discuss whether they're right for you, or whether another treatment makes more sense.

FDA-approved branded only. We do not prescribe compounded GLP-1 medications. We believe the safety, sourcing, and quality assurances of branded medications matter, especially for chronic-use therapy.

How follow-up works

Weight care is not a one-time prescription. After your initial visit you'll have a monthly check-in with the same nurse practitioner. They will review how you're feeling, any side effects, your weight trend, and whether anything needs to change. Between visits, message them directly — same-day responses on weekdays.

Specialty pharmacy access

Eligible patients can access Wegovy and Zepbound through manufacturer cash-pay programs (LillyDirect, NovoCare) where applicable, plus standard insurance run if relevant. Your clinician will help you understand expected costs and access pathways during your visit.

Common questions

Weight care FAQ

Will you prescribe a GLP-1 at the first visit?

Sometimes. Your clinician will only prescribe if you meet clinical criteria, your history is appropriate, and there are no contraindications. If labs are needed first, they'll tell you.

How much does the medication cost?

Medication is billed by your pharmacy, not Sinad Labs. Cash prices vary widely; LillyDirect and NovoCare offer direct cash-pay programs that often beat retail pharmacy pricing. Your clinician will discuss expected cost during your visit.

Do you offer compounded versions?

No. We prescribe FDA-approved branded medications only — Wegovy, Zepbound, Ozempic, Mounjaro, Saxenda.

Can I switch from compounded to branded?

Yes. Many of our patients come to us after stopping compounded GLP-1s. Your clinician will review your history and design a transition plan.

What if I don't want medication?

Many patients do well with lifestyle and behavioral support alone. Your clinician will work with you on whatever path makes sense.

Ready to start?

Most patients meet a clinician within hours. Your intake takes about ten minutes.
